Binding the Mind Scrambling Spirit

1 med Res Enforcer Front CoverHey Everyone,

Today's a good post. It's a lot to take in but it's powerful to gain wisdom and understanding regarding our enemy.

Recently I've been listening to some audio books written by deliverance ministers and an interesting section was covered regarding unbelievers. It's a mind scrambling spirit.

I'll share some of my limited understanding about this beast and a prayer to pray for the unsaved in your life.

The mind scrambling spirit is a form of mind control, which is rooted in witchcraft. All control and manipulation are rooted in witchcraft. The scrambling spirit sits atop a person's head. In the spirit realm, people who see, describe this spirit to look like a small octopus whose tentacles reach down through the ears and eyes into the brain. WOW!

I know!!

This spirit scrambles the thoughts of those it has access, thereby they are unable to process the words of life coherently and with understanding. This is why you can share God, scripture and testimonies with people and they remain unchanged. The individual will hear you and even repeat back what you said, but the truth becomes scrambled in their minds and hearts. They are unable to receive truth.

WHOA!!!!

However!!!  With Jesus, all things are possible, even for the darkest of those under mind control. I discovered a simple prayer to pray for those who live within our love, stewardship and jurisdiction. Pray the Armor prayer first, daily. I shared that last week.

Then pray this:

Father, in the name of Jesus,

I bind the demonic scrambler who is scrambling the thoughts in (insert name).

You demons binding (insert name) I take authority over you in the name of Jesus Christ, my Lord. I bind you in the name of Jesus. You cannot afflict (insert name) today. My house is committed to the Lord and is holy ground.  You are a trespasser and may not function here.  I bind you and command you to leave in the name of Jesus.

At some point you may need to bind and rebuke the demon directly. This is prayer of persistence. One of our greatest spiritual disciplines is perseverance. Pray this in faith until breakthrough, no matter how long it takes. In Jesus name.

The next post is about standing in the gap for others. It's good also. Okay, I really need to hear from you. Is this the kind of content that will help you? Please talk to me in the comments.

Love and blessings, Lynn

An Unexpected Experiment

Hi Warriors in Christ.

Today, I want to share an unusual experience and an unplanned experiment. What happened to me proves what we allow in our ear gates matters to great degrees in the spiritual.

If you have known me for awhile, you know I LOVE to backyard garden. Since moving to northern California, I’ve learned that gardening has differing but small nuances from my Temecula backyard.

This spring has extended, damp and cool following the wettest winter in local memory. However, I was determined to expand my garden and plant early this year. Last year, the garden went in late because I was still unpacking boxes from our move in.

I asked my local handyman, (I love that guy. He is the bomb), to build me two additional garden boxes. One box was a conversion from an old queen box spring. (waste not, want not!) He pounded that one together and built another. He even went to home depot and hauled a truck load of grow mulch bags into my backyard.

So, now I have four boxes that the birds love to pick apart. I quickly learned to cover them with bird nets. After they ate the leaves down to the stem of the jalapeno plants. Sheesh! That’s been part of the learning curve. Tons of birds around here are plenty hungry. Grrrrrrr

On a sunny morning I went out to work. The bags of grow mulch needed treated with my crab and lobster shell mix, Epson salts, and some organic fertilizer. I put on the yard gloves and set up the portable backyard speaker I took from Mike’s office.

I was looked for some upbeat music that I could sing along and move me along as I work. And from my distant past, the band, Heart, came to mind. So I put on the Spotify playlist and worked for hours, listening to Ann Wilson belt her lungs out. I finished about half the work and left the rest for another day.

Again,  a few days later I went out to spend four more hours to finish up all the work. I was laying down stepping stones, funny signs, a windmill and fencing.

This time I set up Mike’s speaker to play a favorite worship playlist as I worked.

Now this is the interesting and unexpected experiment that occurred. Following the first work day when I came into the house to clean up and move on with other stuff, I noticed that after listening to the secular music, I felt in my spirit a melancholy feeling. Like a sadness, a longing for …… well for something I wasn’t really sure. However, I felt down and somewhat gloomy.

I didn’t really notate this odd feeling until the next time I came in after listening to worship for four hours. Following my second garden workday, I came in to clean up and I felt powerful, I was filled with hope, I felt the presence of God so strongly. As I walked into the bathroom, I passed through a shaft of light that was coming through the window. I turned around to pick up something, and there in the beams of light were dust particles but something else.

It appeared there was glittering gold shimmering, hovering in my wake. I marveled as I watched the glittering gold with fascination. And I whispered, “I love you, Father.”

That’s the precise moment when this lesson crystallized. I realized in that moment that listening to music that wasn’t centered in worship to God left my spirit in a sad and weakened state. But the sustained worship, strengthened, uplifted and drew the very presence of God.

Ok, sorry, Heart. Ladies, you can sing but next time I’m hours in the yard, it will be worship for me.

Have you had an experience like this? I would love to hear your story.

Be blessed on this day my friends. Lynn

Healing!! Guest post by Destiny Parten

Destiny PartenHealing, it’s what we’re called to do.

Hi, I'm Destiny Parten and Lynn has asked me to share what I'm learning about faith, prayer, and healing.

I can’t tell you how many nights I’ve fallen asleep wondering if I was on my way to stepping into everything Jesus has for me. Read the following scripture, does it tug at your heart and leave you wanting more?

“I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it!
John 14:12-14 NLT

Doing the SAME works Jesus did would be more than enough, but even GREATER works!!!

After finishing a 4-week teaching series on Marching Around Jericho, Lynn prayed and blessed us to be ready for those God was going to place on our path to pray for. I’m no stranger to prayer, but to seek out those who need it… that always challenges my comfort level a bit.

That same afternoon I received a call back from a local counselor. I was searching for a safe male Christian counselor for my son and armoring myself up in the meantime because parenting a pre-adolescent is truly uncharted territory for me!

The scheduling secretary happened to be the counselor’s wife and her texts were a bit sporadic and confusing. Then it happened… I received a text apologizing for the confusion. She was currently scheduling from the car and on her way to attend to her daughter, who was currently miscarrying for the 2nd time. My antenna went up, this was a prompting, time to partner with Holy Spirit and pray!

I quickly text back yes to the upcoming appointment time and a side note, “I will be praying.”

This is where I want to camp for a quick second because I’ve seen a theme emerge in my prayer life since the beginning of 2020. During this time, I began fielding prayer requests by email and text. Many requests were similar, “The doctor says we should prepare for the worst…” This is where, we as believers, be prepared to enter the room ready and willing to accomplish what must be done for the Kingdom! I’ve found that even through the isolation and mandates that have made it nearly impossible to physically access the sick, the Holy Spirit is still willing and able to go and do!

So even though this baby was a few states away, I immediately began rebuking the words of death spoken over this baby by those in places of authority, especially the physicians. I similarly spoke the same over my son when he was in the NICU. Also, over a friend in the Navy who was placed on a ventilator, and for those seeking prayer during the pandemic. I had their testimonies to stand upon. Which has led me to intentionally partner with the Holy Spirit and breathe life into this baby!

As believers we are to speak Life!

Proverbs 18:21 says, “Death and Life are in the power of the tongue and those who love it will eat its fruit.” This is so powerful friends!

This is why I chose to add two small, but powerful words above my old sunflower tattoo on the top of my right foot. So, whenever I am feeling weary and find myself looking down, I am reminded of what I get to choose…

Speak Life!
