God's Voice

To Know Him Is To Love Him

Hi Friends, Jeanne here. I have a question for you:

Heart rose“Who is Elon Musk? What is he like?”

If you asked a hundred people, you would get a variety of answers, including several, “I have no idea.” You’d probably form some concept of Elon Musk based on what you’d heard and read.  But unless you know Elon Musk personally, you’d have no way of knowing what he’s really like.

“Who is God? What is he like?”  If you asked a hundred people, you’d a variety of different answers, again including several “No idea.”  But God is who he is, regardless of what people believe about him.

What is God really like?  Unless you know him, you’re going to take someone else’s word for it, just like you would with Elon Musk.  I was raised in a family that believed in God, that went to church regularly, that participated in “religious education.”  I had a concept of God that was influenced by what people said about him and by what I read.

As a kid I was taught the Ten Commandments (and thanks to all that “Religious Education,” I can probably still recite them.)  Jesus even referred to the greatest commandment:

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your mind, with all your soul, with all your strength.”

My line of thought went something like this: How do you love God, an invisible being so far away? And who would know whether or not I obeyed this commandment?  In my mind, love was a warm fuzzy feeling.  Thinking about God didn’t give me a warm fuzzy feeling, but I could say it did and no one would know the difference. So, I could “check off” the first commandment and move on to worrying about the easier commandments like “Thou shalt not steal.” Is it stealing if you sneak a cream puff out of the refrigerator when you’re supposed to wait until after dinner?

When I became a follower of Jesus, I realized there is a whole lot more to the Christian life than going to church and trying to obey the commandments.  The question remained: how do I love God with all my heart, with all my mind, with all my soul, and with all my strength? I understood that this all-out love is much more than admiration, or general gratitude for a wealth of blessings.  But to be honest, I still didn’t love God this way right off the bat.  Rather, I spent years getting to know who he is and how he feels about me.  There is nothing that describes this process better than the phrase “falling in love.”

When you meet someone special, you think about them a lot.  You want to spend time with them, getting to know them, and sharing yourself with them. As time passes you become closer and closer until you can’t imagine doing life without them.  This has been my experience with God.

The process is different than human romantic love, of course.  God is not going to keep you on the phone for hours or send you twenty texts a day.  His love-gifts won’t be delivered by a florist or UPS driver. I fell in love through the Word of God and the Spirit of God.  I read the Bible to learn what God says about himself.  I also learned prayer as a conversation, not a monologue.  The best part of my relationship with God is that he both listens and speaks to me. Often his voice is a gentle whisper; but occasionally he rocks my world with a virtual shout!

When people fall in love, sooner or later they realize that their beloved isn’t quite perfect, but I’ve never experienced that with God.  Not only does he never hurt me, but he always forgives me when I hurt him.  He doesn’t hold grudges, and if I run away from him, he follows me and welcomes me back the moment I turn around.  He only wants what is good for me, no matter what it costs him.

There were plenty of times in my past that I thought God was being unfair or unloving, but I was wrong. The evil that’s in this world is not from God at all, but from our enemy. The devil and his minions attack us and try to make us think that it’s God doing it.  He’s so good at it that even many Christians don’t realize that God is essentially being framed, but that’s a topic for another day.

I have come to know that God can be absolutely trusted; that his plans for me are far better than anything I could think of for myself.  I have begun to experience the joy of his kingdom right here, right now.

I can’t give you a shortcut to this place, but I can assure you that if you honestly seek him, you will find him.  It will be worth everything you have to know and experience how much he loves you.  There was a time when truly loving God seemed impossible to me.  But now I can say without reservation that the more I know him, the more I love him, and want to know him more.

How about you?  How have you experienced the love of God?  As always, your comments and questions are welcome!

Are You a Seer? A Hearer? Perceiver?

SpiritualGiftsSeminarIt's possible to see angels and demons. It's possible to know that an evil spirit is near. You can hear the voice of God and can hear music and sounds in the spirit realm. Did you know that many of you perceive things in the spirit but mistake what we sense and then dismiss it?

Did you know you can develop your spiritual awareness?

I'm convinced we are born with powerful, supernatural gifts. Gifts to see into the spirit world. Gifting to hear the voice of Jesus. Gifts to perceive future events. Gifts that offer us protection, insight, wisdom and lead us into greater realms of love and intimacy with the Father. But many of us have surrendered our gifts. This has left us powerless and helpless.

It's time to claim our inheritance and spiritual gifting belongs to the sons and daughters of God.

There is GREAT confusion in the body of Christ about spiritual gifts. So let's tackle this topic in our next Zoom meet up.

In this seminar you can expect:

  • Biblical teaching about supernatural gifts
  • Defining the difference between gifts and how they manifest in an individual.
  • Discover your gifting set.
  • Discover your children's gifts, your spouse.
  • Exercises to continue to develop supernatural gifts.
  • Pray to reactivate your gifting, cleanse it from demonic interference and dedicate it to God.

There is new material in this class that isn't in most teaching on the Gifts of the Spirit.

This will be a one hour Zoom seminar on August 26, 2021 at 11 am PACIFIC. The live seminar will offer you the most effective portion of our prayer time. However, if you are unable to attend, you will receive the video. All purchasers will receive the video link after the seminar.

Sign up now. $10 for the class. Live Q&A at the end. Come with your questions. I can't wait to help you launch into your gifts. Hugs, Lynn

The Secrets of Leviticus

Kingdom Life BibleThe Secrets of Leviticus

Seriously!!!  Leviticus.

Gang, sometimes I can’t hardly wait to wake up and open my Bible and read the Old Testament because I’m learning from those ancient, brilliant, books more right now than in the last twenty years.

SERIOUSLY!

Let me ask you a question. Have you ever heard of a Salt Covenant?

No???

Me either! (DANGIT)

But I’ve read the Bible for years. So have you. Why is this a mystery and it’s such a powerful covenant and we have been robbed of this gift for generations. Grrrrrrr. That makes me so mad at the devil. Grrrrr and double grrrrr.

Okay, open up the Word. Seriously, you MUST read out of a paper Bible.

Turn to Leviticus 2:13

Season all your grain offerings with salt. Do not leave the salt of the covenant of your God out of your grain offerings; add salt to all your offerings. NIV

Right here in the middle of the Torah is a powerfully important covenant. And if you remember the LORD has instructed me to ask Him questions when I don’t understand something.

So, “Father, what is a salt covenant?”

I pulled out a new Bible that I purchased over a year ago, One New Man Bible. This is a translation from the original Hebrew, Greek and contains many, many notes about the cultural norms as well as how the Hebrew would render a passage.

I looked up this passage and found the original Hebrew translated this passage as: And you will season with salt every offering of your grain offering. Neither will you permit the salt of the covenant of your God to be lacking from your grain offering; with all your offerings you will offer salt.

Okay, this follows a verse that will punch you in the face about First Fruits. (I also talk about this in the Intimacy Seminar.)

But back to the Covenant of Salt.

I think I may offer an entire series on the covenants. Covenants are powerfully meaningful to God. I mean it!!!! Covenants are the highest promises. There are conditional and unconditional covenants. A Salt Covenant is conditional.

I looked up the Salt Covenant in my new Bible and it’s rendered like this:

I shall cut a covenant of salt with you.

Gang, to hear the LORD speak these words. They come with power, force, reckoning, responsibility and with purpose.

I SHALL CUT A COVENANT OF SALT WITH YOU.

Okay, friends, salt is mention many times in the Word and even Jesus speaks about the importance of salt. He was well aware of the salt covenant during His ministry on earth.

Interesting.

Onward.

So, as I sat pondering and asking God what is a Salt Covenant, I realized salt is portrayed as a preservative. It extends life.

This covenant is a covenant of longevity.

So, I sat in awe as the Lord revealed to me that this is a Covenant that remains available to believers today. Wow.

And then a thought and a question formed in my mind and this is what I asked of Father…….

........To Be Continued following Easter.....

On Friday, I'm offering a video about the crucifiction. You will see Good Friday with new eyes.

Then on the following Friday, let's learn more about the covenant of Salt. Une in because the story becomes crazy, wild, fun and astonishing from here.

Love you all. March toward our King and LIVE the Kingdom life. Hugs, Lynn

OT LESSONS IN OUR NT DISPENSATION

Kingdom Life BibleWhat can I learn from the book of Numbers of the Old Testament or Torah?

Many of you know that I read through the Bible every year using a Daily NLT Bible. This Bible offers a reading plan daily of a portion of the OT, NT, Psalm, and Proverbs.

Okay, I’ll be vulnerable here. I’ll admit that in years past, I’d open up the Word, skip the books of Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy and jump right into the New Testament and read the Gospels. I love the Gospels. I never tire of reading about Jesus.

BUT…. THIS YEAR I’m mind-blown by what Yahweh is revealing to me in the book of Numbers.

Y’all THE BOOK OF NUMBERS???????

SAY WHAT?

I believe that my difficult trials in January and February gained a reward that I'm now receiving in March. Father, is speaking to me about things I’ve never known before. AND THEY ARE IMPORTANT. And fascinating.

I’m going to share a few with you here and a fantastic story in the Zoom meeting on Thursday. (If you missed it, you can still register and I'll send you the link to the teaching, click here.)

Let read this passage in the Old Testament: Numbers 19:1-10

Get your Bible out. You really need to read this and see it on paper. Trust me.

Did you read it?

In recent weeks the LORD began each morning with this:  “Lynn, what don’t you understand?" This is what He would ask me after I read my Bible.

Then He said, “Ask Me questions.”

That alone blows my mind. But, hey!  COOL!!!

The first part of the passage didn’t really cause me to ponder, but I guess there are questions in the first part that I could unpack such as: Why the RED heifer? And why the specific instructions to burn all the various parts?    hmmmm

But when I reached verse six, I stopped and stayed there: And the priest shall take cedarwood and hyssop and scarlet yarn, and throw them into the fire burning the heifer. Numbers 19:6

I asked this, “Father, what is the significance of the cedarwood? What does the hyssop mean to You? And the scarlet?”

Now, let me ask you this, do you know? Why would our God of all the universe, tell the priest to throw these things in the fire and create ash that the people will later use in a purification ceremony? Perhaps, you are like, duh, Lynn, I know this already. But, I didn’t understand.

So, this is where it gets fun. I heard Father say to me, “Pause here and ponder.” I waited, read the passage again and continued to ask Him to explain this verse to me. Then He told me to retrieve my phone and search cedarwood. So I searched these two things cedarwood and hyssop.

Well all of you who are essential oil people  probably know there are properties in the cedarwood. But this is what God told me, “The cedarwood represents long life. The hyssop is called the oil of gladness and it is an ancient herbal medicine. It is for healing.”

Then the Lord supplied a holy download. “The burning of the cedarwood is a property in nature that I gave to my people. It’s a restorative property. It is life-giving and represents the best health and long life that is a covenant with my people in that time period. The hyssop carries a healing component and it offers healing as a gift to my people.” Okay, it wasn’t word-for-word but a word of knowledge, or a knowing that I receive.

Then I heard this scripture: His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that hath called us to glory and virtue. 2 Peter 1:3

Then the Lord spoke to me, “Lynn, I’ve created a world that has everything you need for life, health, and holiness. And I delight to show you the secrets of the Kingdom.”

Whoa. Just WHOA!!!!

Then He told me to get my laptop out and share with all of you.

Who knew?  I mean really.

THE BOOK OF NUMBERS? COME ON!!!!!

As as side note: I might have ordered some cedarwood for my home and perhaps a diffuser and hyssop oil. God knows what He is doing. I’m partnering with Him for life, health and holiness.

Next time: I can’t wait to tell you about a Covenant that is available that very few Christians know about. And God also showed this to me in the book of ---now get this, LEVITICUS…

I hear ya, NO WAY.

And this is a crazy wild story. See you next time. Marching toward heaven, Love, Lynn

End Times and A Possible Global Church. What do you think?

Faith End Time ChurchNation of God, Lynn here.

So, I had an entirely different post planned and written for today. However, in my spirit, I can’t remain quiet. There are important issues of the day that are relevant to our faith, our home and our marriage. And so, with fear of rejection or criticism, I’m stepping out to share some things upon my heart. I ask that you read what I share and consider how these current day issues are a factor in your life, faith and within your marriage. And I also ask that you forgive me for being timid in the past as I avoided issues which are challenging for all of us to agree upon.

Finally, I ask that you discern what the Lord and His Word are speaking to you about the topics, share in the comments with love. As a body of believers, we need to discuss issues in the news and in our churches in order to resolve within ourselves our stance because very soon, our conviction may be the only thing that keeps us from falling down the slippery slope. And if you disagree with me, that’s okay. Please be kind in the comments.

So, where to start.

Today I feel absolutely overwhelmed to write about a process that I had with the Lord this morning. It has been the strangest experience and powerfully revelatory. So, I will walk you through it and then let’s talk about the implications in the comments.

Last night I awoke in the middle of the night. I distinctly heard two names. One of which I am familiar and one I’ve never heard before.

William H. Taft
William F. Barkley

Two Williams. WEIRD!!!  Can I just ask you, has this happened to you? Have you awakened hearing a person’s name whispered in your ear at night???? I’m tellin’ ya…. WEIRD.

Early this morning, with coffee in hand, I sat down in my prayer room and proceeded to Google search these names.

Whoa. To my astonishment, William F. Barkley, was a theologian who was born December 5, 1907 and died in 1978. The interesting thing about this Professor and pastor of the Church of Scotland is that he denied the reality of the Trinity. He was a prolific writer as well as teacher.

Interesting. Okay Lord.

Then I searched William Taft, twenty seventh president of the United States. Brilliant man who was a four-term President as well as a Supreme Court Justice. A long history of public service adorns his resume. However, after searching further I discovered he presented himself as a Christian but fully adopted the doctrines of the Unitarian church. BTW, I knew nothing about either of these people nor the Unitarian Church prior to this morning.

So, in my process with the Father I asked: Father, why are you showing me this?

His response: This is information about the future. Denial of the Trinity.

You see, both Williams had a singular similarity. They adopted doctrine that denies the truth of the Triune God. Unitarianism is central to the denial of the Trinity and it goes further to deny the deity of Christ as well as the denial of the supernatural.

Instantly I understood why the Lord placed these two names into my mind in the middle of the night and their commonality is the denial of the Trinity. The Lord went on to impress upon me that in the future, end-times, the church will unite under Unitarianism as it is the belief system that welcomes all faiths.

The Lord created this name puzzle with the Williams to be so unlikely, so crazy, that I would have zero doubt as to the message and that it was of the Lord.

Gang, I rarely hear names in the middle of the night, especially names of people I don’t even know.

Sitting in my prayer room, I grieved as I thought about the millions that will be deceived. Unitarianism began under the original name, Arian…. Good grief… (Arian Nation, Nazism sprang to mind.) The denial of the Trinity, then denial of Christ as Deity and finally when all possibility of the supernatural realms is tossed out, the gates of hell open and all faiths will unite. If Christ is merely a human man like the rest of us, then the power of the cross is a lie.

Prayer Notes End-Times Prophecy
BTW, My notes from my prayer time.

However, in this moment on the couch in my prayer room, a vigorous truth arose in my spirit. Here it is:

The truth about Jesus is that He is different than any other man who walked this earth. He was born of a virgin. The seed of God is incorruptible and wholly pure, divine. The DNA is pure and unaltered and the perfection of mankind, thus his blood sacrifice meets every demand of the law and the prophets. He is one of the three in the Trinity. He is deity. He is the Word. He is the Lamb who took away the sins of the world.

HALLELUJAH!

Why this history lesson? My SUMite friends, awareness is our profound gift as we face the largest battle in the church in this current day, deception. If we are unaware of the schemes of satan, we are doomed to fall into this big, beautiful, welcoming, church that still allows me to be a Christian but at the core denies the power and truth of Christ.

I will tell you this, shallow believers will run with passion to the doors. Our unbelieving spouses will smile and say, “Now, this sounds like a church I could attend.”

I’m not kidding. These scenarios are very real for our lives. So…… Now, here is the difficult part of this message. You are aware. Now you are accountable.

What can we do. Praise Jesus that He is showing His Bride the truth. He is actively and with wild efforts, such as speaking names I don’t know into my ear at night, making us aware of what is coming. He is urging us to prayer and to seek out the truths and have them LOCKED IN our heart, mind, soul and strength.

Pray for wisdom. Pray for discernment. Pray for revelation (Ephesians 1:18) Pray that God’s truth will be made known and deception defeated. In Jesus name.

Thoughts?

Thanks for allowing me to share some of my fantastic adventures with our King!

On Friday: Censorship…. Ya, let’s keep the controversial subjects rolling.

One final note. Of course, what I have shared is a possibility that God is making me aware. Our prayers can delay, deny and cancel the works of the enemy. To that end is why I believe the Lord is showing me this information. Let's pray. Let's believe. Let's triumph. Hugs, Lynn
