In Pursuit of The Face of God II

In the last week, I’ve contemplated the many seasons I’ve walked through in pursuit of the Presence of God in my life. Some are very challenging and some are utter bliss — so amazing that there isn’t adequate language to describe the encounters.

I will be sharing:

  • The power of the WORD
  • Praying with authority
  • Understanding angels and their purpose
  • Understanding the demonic and how to defeat it
  • The spiritual realm
  • Walking in our true identity
  • Defeating the lies
  • Taking captive thoughts to Christ
  • and a bunch more

These are some of the practices and divine wisdom that I’ve adopted over years. It’s a lifetime of learning to walk in victory in the power of Jesus Christ.

I loved your responses in the comments as to why you are in pursuit of God. And as I contemplate the “why” question I asked last week, I think there are a multitude of reasons to pursue God but at the core, the very first is of course, eternal salvation.

I need to state clearly some truths. The enemy of God is relentless to cloud the facts and truth about a spiritual realm and many succumb to the deception. But right now, from a clear mind, a life-long journey with God I am providing truths from my years of actual experiences:

  • God is real. I have experienced His presence, power, love and forgiveness.
  • The spiritual realm is real and it surrounds us completely. We walk in it always, whether we believe in it or not.
  • We are at war. From conception in the womb until the day we die. We have an enemy who is hell-bent on destroying us.
  • Jesus Christ is God’s son. He came to earth as an example on how we as a human being can walk in victory, power and love and have victory through His death on a cross and resurrection.
  • The Bible is a legitimate, inspired work that is living. The WORD hold enormous power and truths that have changed my life in every good way and that has changed the lives of million century after century.
  • We are children of God. That distinction offers us a multitude of promises, responsibilities and opportunities within God’s Kingdom.
  • We are born to fulfill God’s purposes on earth that were written for us before time began.

The critical truth is that we have a soul that will live on after are body dies. It WILL go to one of two places, heaven or hell. Our entire experience on earth leads to this decision. A decision that is what drives nearly all activity on earth. If you are reading this, choose wisely. Choose love, choose faith and choose Jesus Christ. He is our redemption, hope and our gate to the eternal Kingdom. (If you want to pray a prayer of salvation, click here.)

Okay, these are some of the basics and I will tackle with Biblical backing as well as my experiences in the weeks ahead.

These truths ARE the reasons I pursue God. I’ve lived life without Him and it sucks. Life lived in the Presence is an adventure, full, surprising, peaceful, and a life of victory and joy.

In my next post, I will share a Faith practice that began in earnest in my life in 1999. This practice remains in my life today. It’s life-changing and powerful. Until then, I invite you to receive the blessing of the atmosphere of heaven:

For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit —Romans 14:17

I bless you today with the atmosphere in heaven. That you are filled with righteousness, peace and joy. That the goodness of God (righteousness) overflows into your life with such abundance that it takes your breath. In Jesus name.

In His grace and mercy, Lynn
